If a hard object accidentally falls into the injection machine while it is in use, will it damage the machine?

During the use of injection machines, if hard objects accidentally fall into the machine, it is indeed possible to cause damage to the machine. The working principle of injection machines relies on precise operation under high pressure and high temperature, and any foreign object entering may disrupt this precise process. After the hard object enters the interior of the machine, it will first affect the moving parts of the injection machine, such as screws, nozzles, molds, etc. These components are usually designed very finely, and hard objects may come into direct contact with them, causing scratches, abrasions, and even cracks. When the screw rotates, if a hard object enters, it may hinder the normal rotation of the screw, resulting in excessive wear or jamming. Once the mold and nozzle are blocked by hard objects, it may also cause the material to be unable to be smoothly injected into the mold cavity, resulting in molding defects or mold damage.
In addition, hard objects may also block the pipelines in hydraulic or cooling systems, causing fluid to not flow smoothly, thereby affecting the cooling and lubrication effects of injection machines. If the flow rate of the cooling system is affected, there will be problems with temperature control, which may cause the temperature to be too high or too low during the injection molding process, thereby affecting the molding quality and normal operation of the machine.
In the most serious case, the presence of hard objects may cause machine malfunctions or shutdowns, and even require shutdown for maintenance, increasing downtime and production costs. At the same time, the long-term impact of hard objects on injection machines may also lead to a decrease in accuracy and reduce the service life of the machine.
Therefore, it is very important to ensure a clean working environment and prevent hard objects from falling into the machine. Operators should be particularly careful when using injection machines. When such a situation occurs, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection and foreign objects should be removed to avoid more serious mechanical damage.
