When using an injection machine, do you need to ensure that it can provide the necessary injection pressure for the selected material?

When using an injection machine, it is indeed necessary to ensure that it can provide the necessary injection pressure for the selected material. Injection pressure is one of the crucial process parameters in injection molding, which directly affects the flowability of the molten rubber material and the filling effect of the mold cavity, thereby having a decisive impact on the dimensional accuracy and quality of injection molded products.
The working principle of injection machines involves multiple stages such as heating, pressurization, and injection of plastic raw materials into molds. In this process, the pressure applied by the injection screw to the molten rubber material (i.e. injection pressure) must be high enough to overcome the flow resistance of the molten rubber material at the nozzle, pouring port, and mold cavity, ensuring that the rubber material can smoothly fill the mold cavity. If the injection pressure is insufficient, it may cause to problems such as incomplete filling and product defects.
Therefore, when selecting an injection machine, it is necessary to reasonably determine the required injection pressure range based on the properties of the selected material (such as melt flow index, viscosity, etc.) and the design requirements of the mold (such as cavity size, gate design, etc.). At the same time, during the use of injection machines, it is necessary to accurately adjust and control the injection pressure according to specific situations to ensure that it can provide the necessary injection pressure for the selected materials, thereby obtaining high-quality injection molded products.
In addition, it should be noted that the higher the injection pressure, the better. Excessive injection pressure may cause problems such as mold damage, product deformation, or internal stress. Therefore, when setting the injection pressure, it is necessary to comprehensively consider multiple factors such as material properties, mold design, and product requirements to find the optimal injection pressure parameters.
